It is also a sign of low brake vacum at idle see if light goes out when you idle up/ rev up the engine. Your brakes are using vacum from a vacum pump when the truck is idling especially if idle is a little low a vacum sensor switch will turn on warning light beacuse of low vacum pressure my 92 does the same thing but goes right out when you take off or idle up and I have no issues with lack of brakes and it doesnt do it all the time just every once in a while especially in stop and go traffic when the truck is hot
