Seam repair

After scratching my head for a while I figured a course of action for fixing the roof seam. I'm sure there are better ways but this is the one that occurred to me.

I installed the patch with a few tack welds then cut a slot so I could align the top and bottom pieces with the adjacent roof. Once I had one half done I got some 5/16" round stock and bent it to fit in the slot.

Won't look exactly like the stock seam but it should be good enough for my purposes plus it handles the transition between the two panels and replaces some of the strength of the original seam.
