The foam 'rod' is available locally. Then cut your cab liner vinyl diagonally to make several loooong 4" (IiRC) strips. Butt join in pairs by sewing diagonally, so the seam is harder to spot. Then wrap around the foam and sew using a zipper foot.

Longevity will depends on the quality of the vinyl used.
