If your vehicle needs Dana 70 axles I assume it is pretty heavy or hauls a fair amount of weight for a light duty truck. This being said, you will want some respectable size brakes to have adequate braking considering the weight and tire size. A 15" rim is too small to fit anything bigger than a 1/2 ton size brake. A 16" is the absolute minimum and it is becoming less common these days. Most guys I know running tires in the 37" and taller are running 17" or bigger rims.
To answer your rim to tire width question, the tire mfg. will be the one who will have recommendations as to what rim width to use on their tires.
