Jeeps in a Crate.........
I remember as a kid in the 50's, Popular Mechanics magazine ran ads of new Jeeps in crates for $50. I dont know anyone who tried to buy one. Story these days is that it was not true. However, we do know in the years after the war, military surplus was sold for pennies. Makes one wonder, was it true or were there scammers back in the 50's also.
