Having a lathe my approach would be to buy a left handed hex nut of the correct pitch, chuck up a corresponding bolt, use two nuts to jamb tight. Turn round and to thickness. Then knurled. Remove and cut slot with mill. Pretty simple really. Look in fasten all, msc , grainier for nuts and bolt.
