I finally got a chance to check out the old blimp hanger in Tillamook today. Been driving my for years, including back when there were still two of them (one burned down). No dodges in sight, but still definitely worth a visit if you're passing through or you were going to go to the beach but the weather is too crummy. The building itself is absolutely amazing to me. They deliberately built them with a minimum of steel (including rebar) to save steel for the war effort, but they had unlimited old growth timber back then so the whole building is built of huge timber arch trusses.

About half the inside taken up with a museum with 15 or 20 neat old airplanes, an interesting display of aircraft engines, information about wartime aviation-related stuff on the Oregon coast, and lots of displays of other artifacts, weapons, radio equipment, etc.
