My front hitch for the farm is a section of 4"x4"x1/2" angle iron bolted to the front bar, it's about 5" long with a 50mm towball bolted to it. Never bent it, never broke it and used it for pushing trailers, horse-float and pulling stuff. Easy to make and saves a lot of headaches.
