Good score Greg you are right about the valve seals. there are 2 things that 318 need at about 100 thousand miles and that is valve seals and timming chain then you are good for another 100 thousand. After you change the oil it will hold more pressure I would check with a pressure gauge. I had a old ramcharger and when warmed up the oil pressure gauge would show low and I drove it a lot of miles that way and never checked it with a pressure gauge. had a problem
