Stroke on the 251 is 4 1/2 inches
Stroke on the 265 is 4 3/4 inches
You should be able to insert a wooden dowel into the cylinder bore via the spark plug hole and carefully rotate the engine. The difference between the lowest(BDC) and highest position (TDC) will be the stroke length.
