US 56 934 *** Never forget that number. Drafted July 5, 1967, got out on July 3, 1969. Arrived VN January 1, 1968 and in a field combat company about 2 weeks later. Delta company, 1/50th Mechanized Infantry Battalion attached to the !st Air Cav. Made about 10 Air assaults the first 2 weeks in the company even though we were mechanized. First combat battle was the Tet offensive. Returned from VN December 24, 1968. MOS 91B20.
