At least not if your truck is stock. The factory axle is a full floating corporate axle. If you are using the correct 1957 service manual check the D200 axle section as the W200 axles are not covered in that book. I recommend buying both the 1957 and 1958 service manual if you have a 1957 W200 as dodge didn't put the W200 specific stuff in the 1957 service manual.

Pull the seal and the nuts are under there.
