Robert, I don't get on the forum much, mainly just a reader, but I'll try. Your bed looks like an old Forest or Brush Fire Truck bed with out the tank and pump, etc. I'm retired U.S Forest Service and it looks similar to some of our old rigs. I have an old Cab Over Ford that has one similar but lot larger. The colors and inside the cab don't look like USFS, but could be other Federal or State, County, City, or Airport fire departments. You said that it looked like it was factory built which could have been. Some of the larger agencies would order a large number of beds (10-15) from contractors and then assemble them in their shops. Usually they would strip them of their tanks, pumps and piping to install on the replacement. Send me an email and I can send you a couple of pics of similar beds. Goz.
