Thanks Keith. I knew it would point to the rear, which is fine if I'm powering a hydraulic drive system. I'm considering using a 420 with a 318 V8 and hydraulic clutch bellhousing. I hear that the normal PTO shaft to the winch will not easily pass the bellhousing, so I'm looking into a hydraulic drive for the winch, possibly a dump bed, and maybe a hydraulic drive for a rear mounted log splitter. There are some definite advantages to a hydraulic winch.
