The speed is the same for both rear output shafts because they use the same driven gear part. It may appear one is turning faster. If you have the off-center rear end, I would reconnect the propeller shaft the right output shaft (stock placement) to give you better service on universal joints. The difference in speed is probably from a 4.89 ring & pinnion in the rear and 5.83 up front.
You can jack the truck up and count the number of revolutions of the propeller shaft to one full rotation of the axle shaft.
