Just closing the deal on a rough '55. Looking for you experienced folks to point me towards the best known methods of properly bringing these beloved beasts back to life.

Priorities? Parts sources? Dangers?
Pitfalls to avoid? etc etc
Places to find manuals?
How to convert 6v to 12v and should I??

I see my seller posts here, so I imagine this is 'the' place to look for ideas.
