I was mainly refering to the dodge bearings. and yes I know i should just get a dana 60, but i don;t have the $$$ right now, and I can;t afford to replace those bearings all the time. And I do plan on swapping to either a d60 if I keep the d44, or get a chevy 14 bolt, mainly because they are nice and cheap.

I know they chevy axles pre 73 are much weaker than a dodge, and if I am right, the axles of the same time period as my dodge (77) , the chevy axles are stronger, well, at least the ones that came with a 4 speed. I am right, correct?
