I have worked on a lot of these as a fire department mechanic. If the MICO is not working after working the handle for awhile, you are going to need to remove it and flush it out with ISOPROPYL ALCHOL. Just a note here about ISOPROPYL ALCHOL....DO NOT use rubbing alchol as it is 30% water get the 90% ISOPROPYL(10% water) which is also sold in drug stores (100% ISOPROPYL ALCHOL will NOT kill germs).....While at the drug store get a BULB SYRINGE... this will aid in the flushing process.

Flush the valve...clean off...then test by applying slight air pressure...I blow into it....I know I will get a reaction from that one....always do.....

NEXT....FLUSH THE ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM WITH NEW FLUID!!!!!!!! If the MICO was stuck from the inside it was caused by contaminated brake fluid. Brake fluid is HYDROPHOBIC ,NO it does not grow plants but it does ABSORB moisture. Brake fluid is NOT a petroleum based fluid like a hydraulic fluid, but an alchol based fluid. It is similar to radiator anti freeze (glycol).
