This sounds like the tank I have. Side fill tube. I have never been able to fill the tank completely because if it ever gets above 3/4 full, it will lose fuel on the inclines and corners. I put $30 into it once and the gas gauge said 1/2 full. I actually got down on my hands and knees to see where the gas was going. The tank is huge.
Eric, do you know what the stock tank size is on a Townie?
