boring a master cylinder???

my master cylinder has sat for 15 yrs it has some nasty pits in it i was wondering if i could bore the cylinder to 1 3/8 and put in bigger cups or wont this work ? i have also heard of sleeves who does these and what do they cost? thanks jan
