Yeah, that happened on my truck too. The aft frame crosmember is not vented on the bottom and dirt fills the entire thing up over the years brining the fuel and steel brake lines into contact with nice moist dirt. I found this on initial overhaul and was thus spared the nasty surprise of a sudden brake failure or fuel leak. The dirt can hold a lot of fluid and a leak may not be immediately apparent. Check your brake line!
Anybody know a downside to drilling a 3/4" fluid relief hole in the bottom of these crossmembers?
