Perhaps someone out there may be familiar with the
meaning of a 'Vehicle Cone Index'. I have an older
military manual listing many vehicles, including the
various Dodges, and their VCI's related to the Vehicle
weight. Some of the other information given for each
vehicle includes weight range, tire width and diameter,
no. of tires, no. of axles, ground clearance, engine
hp., transmission type and whether chains were used.
A typical VCI given would be for the M43, with a value
of 60 given for the empty vehicle (7150 lbs.) and 70
for the loaded vehicle (8900 lbs.).
