Might be vapor lock. Today's fuels, particularly
fuels oxygenated with ethanol, have higher
vapor pressures, meaning they're easier to
vaporize. Which, of course, means they're
more prone to boiling in the carb float
bowl. Try cooling the float chamber with
water, then see if it restarts quicker.
Buy non-oxy fuel if possible, and you may
need to insulate fuel lines from heat.
