Looks more like a cottontail. Jacks have black tails and larger rear legs...at least where I live. It looks like a Western Diamondback, and has a lot of rings on its rattle. Maybe the rabbit is juvenile, so the proportion looks odd. But with that many rattle segments, the snake could be longer than five feet. Either way you slice it, neither are fortunate enough to own a FFPW.
