the half ton backing plates, hubs and other stuff may bolt on to the bigger 9.625 inch diff. housing, would have to have them setting side by side to tell. but if that hub and drum will go on a big housing the shoes and backing plates are no problem. the outside diamiter of the bigger drums is 16 inches, even an inch smaller would make it so you could do anything to the spacing and it would work! when I built my race car, I put 9x2 inch backing plates shoes and drums on a 1 ton dana sixty rear that had 11x2 1/2 brakes on to start with. (drag car,save weight) how big are the half ton drums?? Dave.
