Most of the big shops use the fluid flush machines now. They connect to the cooler lines and pump in new fluid as the tranny pumps out the old. Case of tranny fluid later and most of the fluid is new, vice dropping the pan which will only change about 1/3rd.
Then again my car doesn't even have a dip stick for the transmisson. You have to have a scan tool and a special tool to check the fluid level.
