Hi, everyone!
Does anyone here on the forum have any knowledge or experience with civilian FFPW frames and running gear that are painted anything other than the standard black? I'm doing some cleaning and straightening up on my truck and I keep cleaning, flaking and peeling black paint which is OVER a nice coat of what appears to be "dodge truck red". The truck (1947 WDX S/N 88750533) was originally purchased as a fire truck and I'm wondering if a unit could have been spec'd from the factory with its frame, suspension, axles, radiator support, grill etc. painted some other color than black. The body color was red and it had red fenders with black running boards. Any thoughts?
