Most likely not a diesel. I had one of those at a plant I managed back in the 80's. It was an old mixer truck. I also had a couple that were not 4x4. We used these throughout the company for plantsite road watering. A former dealer in Dallas, that still had some Reo parts, told me that very few of those old Reos, were sold with diesel engines
All of the ones we had, and all that I have ever seen, were big 6 cyl gas engines. In fact, Reo got those engines from a deal with International Harvester. Many big IHC trucks from that era had the same engine.
I believe I have seen a non 4x4 like that, with a diesel, on Ebay in the past.
