Many of you know Mike Verst from the forum, or from meeting Mike and Karen at a rally. I received a email today about Mike's wife Karen, who is going through a bought with cancer.
Hello ~
My name is Missy. My daughter and I have volunteered to be the spokesperson(s) for a “Benefit” we are hosting for Karen McWilliams Verst. I will be sending various e-mails to all of you, keeping you up to date on our upcoming event. The name of the benefit is “Cruisin’ for Karen”, so all of my emails will show that in the subject line.
I am sure everyone is aware of Karen’s recurring cancer. For those of you who don’t know, her cancer is back and she is leaving for St. Louis tomorrow morning for 2 days of testing. After the testing they will then return home and wait to hear from the doctors to see what her options are. Karen is in need of many prayers ~ so please ask friends and family to add her to their prayer lists!

As I said, we are planning a benefit on her behalf to help cover medical expenses. Our venue has not yet been set, but we hope to have a date and time by Wednesday this week! We are very excited about it! We are asking anyone and everyone for donations to raffle/auction off at the benefit. Monetary donations are also welcomed! Donations can be made @The Bank of Kentucky.
