I have a very early M105 trailer (marked XM105 on the data plate, which I assume means "experimental") that only lights up the left rear marker light while driving. I didn't know this until I got pulled over by a cop for having a "burned out tail light". After looking things over for a while and discussing it (this was out in the boonies at midnight so he didn't have anything else to do) I figured out that there wasn't even a wire in the wiring harness for a right-side tail light. Brake lights worked in both positions, but brake lights only had one wire, so no turn signals on the trailer either.

I have to assume all the early M-series vehicles were this way, but maybe it was just trailers, or maybe just my "XM" trailer.
