Ther's articles about the best compression ratio's for modern gas if you google it. They say about 10.2:1 get's the best bang from ULP - for regular driving on ULP in these engines I would opt for about 9:1, but your question was about LPG. Cars have been raced on LPG and it's used in extreme off-road situation where you would have trouble with normal carburation. The L6 works very well with a triple system, but you need to make sure the converter can keep up the supply of gas, if not good enough you rob all the gas and end up choking it on liquid LPG - not a good thing.
