From past experience, the 1.250 bore MC will work fine........However with hard braking your pedal will be almost to the floor if not on it. The 1 & 5/16 Bore MC allows full hard braking with lots of reserve pedal action.
All my old iron uses the 1&5/16" bore. I did try the 1.250 bore on my Carryall and was very unhappy with the brakes. Now they work super.
