the voltage reducer on that truck is built into the fuel gauge which is also the power supply for the temp gauge. the trucks with round gauges have an externaly mounted unit. is the fuel gauge reading too high as well? or is the fuel gauge not working? if so it could be sending too much voltage to the temp gauge.
