I have the 435 and I believe it has very high miles and has put up with plenty of abuse from me. Cast iron case and it uses gear oil however I find the gear spacing is not well suited to the 4bt power band. I think the Ford t19 with the 4:1 first would be a better street granny. The zf is aluminum uses atf and I believe has similar gear spacing to the 435 but has od. I also think the smallblock zf is a s5-420 and is rated for.420 lbs ft torque which is fine stock but may not handle mods. Not sure of 435 rating. Assuming a budget I would use the zf in a pw and get the 3000 rpm governor spring and look for the smaller waste gated Turbo. Mine has a large non gated Turbo and struggles to make boost below 2000 rpm.
