Valve job in chassis, keepers get lost if you don't

The trick I lernt long ago is to solder some wire to the keepers. I think they are tinned with solder already, so they lock in to the locks. So easy solder. The wire make a good handle to get them li'l buggers in upwards, rather than when doing valves out of chassis, inserting them downwards.

Once assembled, you can tear the solder joint by yanking the wire.

Air to hold the valve closed is optional, unless you life in a Twilight Zone world where gravity is reversed.

Flat head valve spring compressors look like vice grips' but work backwards. Squeezing the handles spread the jaws. Conventional c-clamp style work better, no lower jaw in the way of fiddling with those itty bitty valve keepers. Use what ya got if it gets the job done.
