Yes Kaegi, I was mistaken, you are correct as far as the 3/4 ton WC's with either the 2 or 4 pinion 8&3/4" units. The 2 pinion third member in the 1/2 ton WC had a different axle spline count and could not be interchanged with the 3/4 ton unit. Post war 4 pinion 8&3/4" third members could not be interchanged with either the 1/2 or 3/4 WC ton units without changing the mounting studs fron 3/8" to 7/16". Still would like to see some concrete evidence that Dodge did in fact install 4 wheel drive on Pilothouse and Funtional design series trucks.
