Yes, I've heard those stories. They do an alkaline bath to neutralize and then a bath, but it is a concern.
Flip side is I know there's rust inside all the cavities and posts, and it will eventually creep back out if I just blast it since there will be no way to protect or neutralize it.
The electrolysis bath would work too but that would be one big tank.
