I think one is usually 1/8" pipe female for use with filters. The other is 5/16 flare female?

A note about teflon tape- it is such a good high pressure lubricant that it is used on wedges to split rocks. Go easy when tightening taped tapered fittings- any pipe thread is tapered. You can slit fitting just like they were rocks. I've sure wrecked aluminum aftermarket brake parts. Probably should use a Lock-Tight product there.

I like old fashioned pipe dope for anything but gasoline and brake fluid. It glues the fitting at whatever angle I leave it at, where as teflon tape makes like a o-ring joint, never solid.
