Thanks. I guess that's why we never got to a definitive answer on your question. I'm looking at the engine I have sitting out loose, with the front bracket attached to it via a new motor mount, and I can't even see a way to snake a 1/4" drive with a u-joint on it into the necessary spot. I think if I was working on a truck where I already had the radiator out for any reason, I would just go ahead and pull the crankshaft pulley and take the front bracket off.

I noticed an interesting thing on the Tucker Sno-Cats. They don't use the stock front mount at all. They have a small bracket near the bottom of the engine that bolts right to the frame. So, no "Floating Power" for Tucker.
