Mike, Creede especially has been in the hands of Texans since they struck silver in 1892, some things never change. I remember when I worked for the forest service, I did a lot of land surveying locating the patentened mining claims corners and most of them were owned by Texans...now there are new million dollar homes on those abandoned claims. If you're in Creede again, look up Ron Stobbe, he's an old miner from the early '70s, and has lots of beautiful rocks taken from the mines back in the day. I'm Roger, and he may remember me. I bought my PW from him back in '76. JET
