Thanks for you reply. The cylinder looks good but has piston splatter on it. Melted around the top. My son always keeps a I on exhaust temps while on the road. Cylinder 5 injector has a broken tip. half is missing. All others checked OK. In your opinion whats the best way to prevent this from happening again? The injector pump is about 7 months old. There is a good Diesel shop in town. After we fix this should I have them give the fuel system a look see? Once again thank you thank you for your reply. Bill Shollenberger.
