I decided to use the Harley CVK-40's instead, they're better suited for the job, being a constant-velocity carb. The displacement & stroke of the big HD engines is almost identical to the 230, should work out well. I did have to make up a new inlet needle jet to replace the stock one, since bike carbs won't hold car fuel pump pressures.If you come across the 1957-9 head (casting # 1676337-1 or 2) grab it, it gives you 8:1 compression AND better flow than the previous heads.
