Speaking as a heavy diesel mechanic, just replace the one piston. From what I saw in the other post that's not all that bad of damage. I would be very surprised if the cyl needs a hone. High EGT's would have damaged more than one cyl. detonation possibly caused by a bad injector would do this to only one cyl.
