Marty,
That's another reason I decided against Powder coating as The closet "Big Boy" coater (in the link above) is about an hour drive away. All the trips and the unknowns swayed me. The possible transport damage and getting an employee who doesn't do what the salesman say adds up to too many minuses for me.

I've quite a few failures too. Auto wheels seem to be a big problem as it seems to make it worse at times. Manufactures, in my opinion, use it because it's cheaper and faster to do. Lots less waste as if they have a clean room they sweep it up and reuse it prior to baking. Epa likes it as the fumes are minimal and as soon as it cools it ready to ship assemble.

Companies can set up to do their own stuff with a lot less cost and EPA inspections. Most around here do that anyway.

Don't get me started on chromers ;) That is why I got into stainless in the first place!

Are you guys dry up there as well? Worst here since the 1950's they say. Trees are starting to die. Up side is they are forecasting some rain today.
