Stopping and starting is the reason for the electric pump!! it does not depend on the engine for it's vacumm source, and I thought you still had your vacumm wiper motors. I too cannot afford 450.00 for motors, hell I can't even afford one!! I just had to find a way to seperate the drivers side from the pass. side, my wyfe thinks the wipers are "quaint", so I'm going to run my side with a pump and leave her side attached to the engine, I'll still be able to see and she won't, hahahaha.
