the short tail goes to the back of the truck [rear of window]. i layout all the pieces and match them up. i did 2 doors with single glass 2 weeks ago. when i was glueing the glass in i just made sure i had opposites, then installed them. i do doors in this order.
1.latch in from top, twist and it goes right in.
2.handle mechanism
3.window regulator from the bottom
4.glass from the top
5. front channel
