Ha, I cant believe Im this close to the new forum start!

I have a 1962 FFPW with the (as best as I can tell) original engine in it. The engine has the correct codes for the 1962 251 engine. When i bought the truck I thought the engine had been replaced as it was blue as well as the oil pan. Now during the stripping of the parts off the engine and preping them for new paint, I cannot find any silver on anything. What I see is red/orange on the bell housing, the waterpump and the intake manifold. the engine, oilpan and head seem to have been blue. The brakets supporting various items were either black or metal color. What is correct for my truck?
Also I am planning on using duplicolor high temp on the engine and all the micl. pieces around the engine compartment then after about 2 weeks of cure time applying a heavy coat of clear two part urethane clear coat. any comments positive or negative on this process?
I dont mind going and using rustoleum brush on if that is the general concensus btw.
