I was able to obtain a New Jersey Title for a 1971 F100 Ford Pickup Truck my boyfriend acquired for free. It belonged to a man who had only used it on his property so he never registered it in his name. He passed away and it sat in his daughter's yard for years until she was moving out of State and although it runs, she had no paperwork and needed to get rid of it so she gave it to us and my boyfriend trailered it home. We knew of Broadway Title and knew people that used them successfully. But, their rates are going up, and they are not willing to work in NJ. So, I obtained all of the documentation required by the Motor Vehicle Commission and completed all the steps and we had a brand new New Jersey Title mailed to us in a little over two months. I drew up an application and posted an ad on Craigslist and am now working on a Honda Civic. So, if anyone is interested, I'm charging $450. You can send me an email and I will send my application to you. The process is involved with Lien Searches, Certified Letters, Legal Notices in the Newspaper, Pictures, Notarized Documents, etc. but I've been through it all and would be willing to help.
