They are so scared and sensitive that the government has closed a large part of the roads and campgrounds in the Cabinet Mountains to keep people from disturbing the bears. Apparently, if a grizzly so much as sees a person driving down the road, it scares them to deal. Or at least that's what the USF&WS believes. I do wish they would tell the bears how scared they're supposed to be of people. Not long ago one of them left the official government-designated grizzly bear habitat, apparently followed I-90 for 50 or 100 miles (a couple cars a day on a logging road scares, them but crossing I-90 is no problem?), and killed an elk on an farm elk near Rose Lake.

It seems like a lot of wildlife doesn't understand how they're supposed to behave. Animals live where they're not supposed to live, eat what they're not supposed to eat, and worst of all aren't scared of things they're supposed to be scared of.
