Once again the steering coupling on the old Mine Tour trolley has stripped out. The steering box itself is worn out and needs to be overhauled, and the splined shaft is worn out, but I have to make it work for the rest of the season somehow. 2 years ago I replaced the sliding U-joint that couples the steering column to the gear box. It was a real bugger finding one, and the best I could do was get one from a junk yard that was worn out in different places than my old one, so I made one good one out of the two. It had good splines on the clamp end. Apparently for whatever reason it started to slip recently and of course the drivers kept driving it until it was totally stripped out. So now I need another clamp/slide/U-joint assembly.

I'm posting this here because I think it's a dodge part. My mew '62 D300 appears to have the same kind of joint. Not sure if it's exactly the same part, or just the same style. RockAuto shows a rag joint in the steering column of a '62. Napa lists nothing. I'd appreciate any information about those sliding U-joints that clamp directly onto the steering box, especially where to get a good one.
